Old Trafford is dominated, physically and logistically, by two grounds — Old Trafford football stadium and the Lancashire cricket ground on Talbot Road — and the dense grid of Victorian and Edwardian terraces that surrounds them. Streets like Seymour Grove, Warwick Road and the roads running off Talbot Road are almost entirely bay-fronted terraced housing built in the late 1800s for workers connected to the docks, the railway and, later, the grounds themselves.
